Landscapes, either as part of larger compositions or as stand-alone paintings, were an important genre Parin explored throughout his career. Building on the tradition of Venetian masters like Titian and Giorgione, they also reference the techniques and styles of the turn-of-the-century French and German impressionists. Parin’s landscapes represent idyllic, colorful, and atmospheric evocations of sites in and around Trieste.
